We have been providing high quality 24 hour live in care for over a decade. We were established as a direct consequence of the experience that one of the companies founding partners had while searching for care for a relative. It quickly became apparent, that there were very few care homes or live in carer providers who were offering a high quality, reasonably priced and professional service.

At Home Care was set up with a founding philosophy to provide an affordable, bespoke, caring, live-in care service, which allows people to remain living at home. We do not operate a 'one size fits all approach' and we tailor every aspect of our service to achieving the best possible outcome for clients. Each person we care for has their own way of life, their own way of doing things and we respect and tailor our services to meet their needs.

We treat all clients as individuals and use all of our experience to provide a live in care service which enhances people lives and allows them to remain living at home with all the benefits this offers compared with moving into a residential or nursing home.

A Partnership

Care and support in the comfort of your own home from £895.00 per week

At Home Care is a registered partnership which means we have no shareholders to answer too and the partners have a strong, vested interest in the workings and management of the business.

We are structured in such a way so as to minimise our fixed costs, we employ carers in the most tax efficient ways, we don't spend monies on expensive brochures and other marketing material and keep our advertising spend low. We pass these savings directly onto clients. Unquestionably, all forms our care are expensive and we appreciate that funding care is a major financial undertaking and we strive to make our fees as affordable and as competitive as possible. We are very clear and transparent about our costs, the price we quote is the price you pay there are no hidden extras.

Unlike most other care agencies we do not charge clients for carers travel, we do not charge a fee for an assessment visit, we don't charge the industry 'norm' of double pay for carers who work Bank Holidays, we do not charge a registration fee.

We do not claim to necessarily be the cheapest but we do claim to be the U.K's No 1 independent, specialist live in care provider. We have built our reputation by providing 'excellent care which is delivered by caring, compassionate staff at an affordable price.

Our Service

The client is at the heart of everything we do

We recruit, interview and carefully vet all our live-in carers, and reject any who don't meet our strict requirements.
We assess each client's individual needs in a face-to-face, no obligation, meeting with them and a family member or friend.
We provide an initial assessment (for both client and carer) outlining the clients individual needs.
Create a Contact Book for the carer with key names and numbers to contact in different situations i.e. doctor, hospital, dentist etc as well as emergency numbers such as neighbours, closest relative etc.

Offer ongoing advice and support. Client and carer can always contact us (during office hours Monday to Friday) to discuss individual circumstances on the telephone.
We stay in touch to ensure everything is running smoothly and that updates are made to meet any changing needs.
We have a written complaints procedure.
We benchmark our standards against those set by the Care Quality Commission.

Following an assessment meeting we develop an individual Outline Care Plan for each client so that the incoming carer has a clear idea of the person's care needs. The carer will then in consultation with the client, change and adapt the plan over the course of the first couple of weeks so that the plan accurately reflects the daily needs and routine of the client. You'll always get to decide how your care is delivered and by who – helping to protect your routine, independence and way of life.
